Hey, recently I made a game, a simple small metroidvania game fully playable in your browser. I turned embedding on because I'm okay with ppl putting it in places for no profit and with credit you know. And if you make profit I would appreciate a heads up or maybe a percentage for myself, since I've never earned anything off the works I've made.
But today I discovered that my game has been uploaded to 2 separate sites without my consent, and both sites seem to use advertisements, but I'm not sure if it's ads to just cover up the hosting of the website, or if it is to make a profit. And I'm very inexperienced with this kind of stuff so I was wondering what you guys advise would be. I'd prefer to get advice from people with experience, but any advice is appreciated.
Should I like contact the websites to take it down immediately? But it is extra exposure for my game, thus also for me. Should I message them with the idea that I would want to split revenue? I'm still studying right now and some extra cents for my groceries can't do harm :P. ALSO How can I embed the game onto my own portfolio site, I haven't found a proper way to embed it myself yet
:(
thanks for listening to my rant/request for help, and I'd love to hear your opinions.
